Google announced Thursday that AI Mode, which allows detailed questions and follow-ups directly within Search, is expanding globally. The update adds agentic and personalized features.

The expansion covers English-speaking users in 180 more countries, beyond the U.S., U.K., and India, with more languages and regions to follow.

The agentic capabilities include restaurant booking, with future support for local services and event tickets. Users can specify multiple criteria like party size, date, time, location, and cuisine, and AI Mode delivers curated real-time options from different platforms.

Currently, U.S. Google AI Ultra subscribers can access the feature through Labs’ “Agentic capabilities in AI Mode” experiment, with Ultra costing $249.99 per month.

Personalization of results is now available, starting with dining, using previous search and Map activity to suggest relevant options.

Finally, a new “Share” button allows users to send AI Mode responses to others, enabling collaborative planning for events, trips, or gatherings.
