Google’s AI Mode expands globally, adds new agentic features

Expanding beyond its initial launch markets, Google is bringing AI Mode to 180 more countries in English. Until now, only users in the U.S., U.K., and India had access. The company is preparing further support for additional languages and regions.
The new update equips AI Mode with more agent-like abilities. Users can make restaurant bookings by entering their preferences, and soon they’ll be able to secure service appointments and event tickets the same way.
To build recommendations, AI Mode evaluates multiple booking services and filters for real-time availability, then shows the best options.
The upgrade is part of Google Labs’ experiments, available first to U.S. AI Ultra subscribers paying $249.99 a month.
With personalization enabled, dining search results now adapt to user interests. A new “Share” function lets people send AI Mode responses to others for easier collaboration.
