US-based Palo Alto Networks is in negotiations to acquire Israeli cybersecurity firm CyberArk Software for a price exceeding $20 billion, reports the Wall Street Journal. The deal would be the largest in the company’s history.

A definitive agreement could be announced this week, according to sources. The acquisition would help Palo Alto Networks offer broader, more integrated cybersecurity solutions amid growing AI-related threats.

CyberArk’s identity security expertise would strengthen Palo Alto Networks’ market position.

The talks follow Palo Alto Networks’ recent purchase of Protect AI, boosting its Prisma AIRS platform’s capabilities to secure AI applications and infrastructure.
